frrr some productions are just so dismissive of it as part of the process because it isn't part of the haha funny jokes or visual gags that makes da money

I feel like there's def studios and individuals who totally get this and embrace it and I never get to work for those people JDLJDLKS at my old job we were constantly treated as a low-skill afterthought and it sucked BIG

We are not just ink and paint, color design is hard work, and if you've ever had to find the right 'green' for grass and trees or 50 different shades of a couple types of metal for props you know what true pain is.

Also, when people think of the color pipeline I feel it's always immediately color keys they picture. In my experience tho he hardly use em in TVA, and creating a mood + differentiating objects in just flats that doesn't clash with flat characters is where a lot of the real finesse comes in.

As a "color person" in animation I'm often surprised at how little animation and story know about the process and thought that goes into the color for even the simplest of shows. Trying to explain what a show's 'color style' is without just going "its the vibes, man" is difficult LOL

This little one has been labeled a milksnake for years at the vivarium and was aptly named Leche but since Ive been here I am 95% certain this is Lampropeltis alterna, a kingsnake, so I've ruined it for everyone I think unless a herp expert can come in here and tell me different!

A reference sheet of my fursona. He’s a pine marten, serval, fossa(?) mix of sorts—a mutt. At the right side of the ref are two full bodies one with a front view of his design and the other the back view. His colors range from an earthy warm light to a dark Carmel. He’s got a minimal stripe pattern on his shoulders and back while his light belly is lined with a cyber sigilism like design. He’s got a mullet with long curls in the back while the other has a shaved head to show off the light markings on his head. On the left side of the sheet is a head shot of him, his paws bounded with rope, his collar (attached is a red heart tag that says good boy & a long yellow tab that says ‘anxious’), a monchhichi keychain, and a knife. There’s also two chibi like drawings of him in different outfits one is sitting excitedly talking about tacos and in a leather catsuit and a tiny red leopard print crop tank. The other is in a black invader zim baby tee of gir and wearing baggy carpenter pants with crust punk stitched patches.
