The old me did his best. He tried for so long to make things work in a world and circumstances that were never going to work. He thought if he just tried hard enough, just held on a bit longer, that things would get better. He tried so fucking hard in his misguided but genuine way until he finally realized it was never going to work out. And then in a final act he accepted what he had to do. He was so scared, but he knew it was either go on forever struggling, or fade away to give the me now a chance to thrive. So he did it. He gave me a chance. And I'll be forever grateful for that.

I've been thinking a lot lately about the concept of how you see your former self as a trans person. I've seen some say they killed the old them, and others say they appreciate their past selves for getting them to this point. I definitely lean towards the latter.

We do seem to overlap cons with high school volleyball tournaments specifically at a weirdly high rate.

The number of teens at this hotel for another event asking me for pics in suit at the 18+ con was uncomfortably high.

I've tried quite a bit. But at this point the problem might be doing too much. Gonna try a total fresh install of the game with just the 4gb memory patch in terms of mods and see what happens.

I really wanna play through New Vegas again but the game just wants to die. Crashing every 30 minutes, corrupting saves, etc. Time has not been kind to her.

That distance is tough. The longing it can leave is real and can be brutal. You're definitely not wrong to feel that way. I hope it's something you don't have to deal with eventually.
