That is most definitely NOT Talgo’s fail. It is rather that the Danish infrastructure company has not managed to standardise the platform height despite having a standard height for several decades now. Don’t blame Talgo for the Danish lack of foresight.

While Saturday was the world premiere of Talgo 230, today was the official inauguration of DSB service with Talgo 230. I was lucky enough to join the first departure from Copenhagen towards Hamburg with speeches, flags, and official celebrations! @talgo.com

Unfortunately there was no official celebration at all, this will happen on Monday instead. This was a secret soft launch.

Today was the first revenue service of a Talgo 230 set. DSB and @talgo.com have made a comfortable and quiet train, which will be a pleasure to travel with. My only complaint is the missing dining car!

My guesses are based on the running time of today’s EC between Hamburg and Copenhagen, 2.5 hours Padborg - Copenhagen.
From Copenhagen to Malmö it’s around 40 minutes.
I assume the train will not stop at Copenhagen Central, but Copenhagen South to avoid running around and thus saving time.

It seems like an arrival time to Copenhagen at around 7:45, and Malmö at around 8:30

Denmark issues the vehicle authorisation for EuroCity international trains.

Talgo 230 trains will serve national rail routes within Denmark and the revamped cross-border connection between Copenhagen and Hamburg.

BRASOV TO BUCHAREST on the 10:43 Astra Trans Carpatic, a private open-access operator competing with CFR (Romanian Railways). This IC2 diesel train was originally built for Danish Railways, suffered unreliability issues, but seems to have found a good home in Romania!

The IC2 works well in Romania because the Danish State Railways gave up ok them to focus on the larger IC4. The IC2 are definitely more reliable now than before (partly due to the more creative maintenance solutions in Romania)

The DSB Talgo introduction date is correct if you are to trust the booking inventory. But they haven't been approved yet, nor has there been an official announcement either

Probably also because of the greatly reduced capacity compared to older wagons and thus higher prices making these new trains less attractive. Especially considering the possibility of competition in the near future.

There will be two trains per day, the second one probably only in summer season

That's impressive that they are dedicating *more* space for the bistro and not less. You would think they would want to cram as many seats as possible in the trains

This is how rail travel should be. Comfortable and tasty! But what do we get? Most countries that still have bistros serve microwaved food. In Sweden you even get to microwave it yourself!

GM diesels are hard to kill! Already 40+ years old they have a second life now!
