Panel 1: Cthulhu is towering, coming out of the ocean as lightning strikes behind him. He's a cold green, with tentacles coming out of his face and 6 eyes on his head in sets of 3. He bellows "I AM UNFATHOMABLE". Before him is a small figure in a purple cloak standing on a cliff. Panel 2: The figure in the purple cloak is revealed to be Shen, who says "Bet I could fathom you." Panel 3: Cthulhu points at him angrily and says "NUH UH!" Panel 4: They're playing a fighting game in Shen's living room. Cthulhu is playing a shoto throwing a fireball while Shen is playing a large grappler character, shimmying back and forth.

'Monarch: Legacy of Monsters' Season 2 Episode 1 Recap: The Kong Show Defunding Monarch would have been a chapter in Project 2025, for sure.

Despite some clunky plotting, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters remains full of cool/gorgeous actors, cool/gorgeous monsters, and cool/gorgeous romance. Seriously, the King Kong/Godzilla show is one of the most romantic things on TV. Glad to be back on the Skull Island beat!
