Minister Maguire was responsive to our concerns, and it was clear from our discussion that he was initially unaware of the decision made by the SSRCE. After raising concerns, I appreciate the Minister’s responsiveness and swift action to correct it.

N.S. education minister says schools expected to fly diverse flags | CBC News Brendan Maguire says he will make it clear to South Shore school officials that a directive to remove any flag other than the Canadian and Nova Scotian flags must be reversed.

I was pleased to see the government act quickly to reverse the South Shore Regional Centre for Education’s decision to remove flags representing inclusive groups from public display.
