Why shut wells? likely reaching storage capacity & the oil has nowhere to go.
Wells really aren’t designed to be switched on & off - they’re supposed to maintain continuous pressure.
And it’s not just crude. It’s likely kerosene, naphtha, jet fuels…. - & the cost of lost production is astronomical

Oh dear. Storage must be maxing out.
Wells really aren’t designed to be switched on & off. Equipment isn’t designed for it. Well pressures tend to be kept stable, not subject to massive drops.

Injection process for oil reservoirs

Injection process for oil reservoirs

Oil in Kuwait isn’t really pumped. If reservoir pressure drops to the point that oil stops flowing to surface then they generally resort to water or gas injection to increase reservoir pressures - a HUGE amount of water is required to push the oil to the surface.

You want the UK to set its own prices for North Sea oil and CFDs for oil companies?
Do you want high prices to encourage investment or low prices for the consumer?
Do you want high CFDs which the taxpayer foots, or low which discourages exploration?

Not sure what the context is, but the 2014 Wood Review informed the gov of the state of UK North Sea oil reserves.
Reservoirs are small and expensive to extract from, and decommissioning is a massive liability

On British political discourse (which is pretty insane)

“The question is not ‘what in god’s name are the Americans doing, have they gone insane?’ It is: Why is Britain not involved?”

Iranian Ship Was Leaving Indian Naval Exercise When Sunk, Raising Concerns in New Delhi The Iranian frigate sunk by a U.S. submarine last week had just left an Indian naval exercise. Now India's political opposition is demanding answers.

My lord! The frigate the US submarine torpedoed, the one the White House has been bragging about, was unarmed and headed home from an international naval exercise, hosted by India, that the US pulled out of at the last minute! www.military.com/daily-news/i...

Might be worth changing from ozempic to mounjaro (or vice versa) if the side effects aren’t great, and if your weight is p*sing you off.
Do your own bit of research first to gauge what might work for you of course.

Not tried pills, but have tried jabs. I thought they were impressive from a performance pov. Particularly impressed by waking up after a few beers and not having hunger pangs.
My experience was good, I lost a fair few kgs, and regarding appetite I just never felt ‘all that fussed’ about eating much

Ever feel tempted by jabs? Pricey, but you’d save a fair bit of cash on food too.
(That’s assuming you’re ok with them from a health pov)

Finding the US and Israeli emphasis on how many sorties they’ve flown and how much munitions they’ve dropped quite Vietnam-era-press-conference-esque.

I could be missing something here, but there is a difference between putting jets in the air to intercept drones/missiles which may hit some of the 100,000 Brits in the UAE, and putting jets in harm’s way to prevent a full scale invasion by the world’s 2nd most powerful military, & a nuclear power

04.03.2026 09:18 — 👍 1    🔁 1    💬 0    📌 0

I agree. There are ~100,000 Brits in the UAE alone, and the UAE is being hit by drones not a full scale invasion by the supposed 2nd most powerful military in the world.

I understand why chatbot cheating happens but every time I read about it I want to gently remind everyone that the point of schoolwork is not for the submission to exist. Teachers are not just greedy for more essays or solved equations. The point is to do the work WITH YOUR OWN BRAIN, FOR LEARNING.

From the NYT, on AOC:
"I think that, uh, this is such a, a — you know, I think that
— this is a, um — this is of course, a, uh, a very longstanding, um, policy of the United States," Ms. Ocasio-Cortez said, before saying that the country should try to avoid reaching that point with China in the first place.

Do you thinks Ds, and especially younger female members like yourself, are held to a different standard by the press compared to Rs, and especially the president?

Case in point is how the NYT reported your talk in Munich, vs the seeming free pass Trump seems to get.

Thanks.

Interesting, thanks. So the US winning today would be historic whereas Canada is kind of expected to win?

Can someone fill me in on this game? Is there genuine hatred between these teams? This looks like the most physical game of the Olympics I’ve seen.
Is Canada considered the favourite to win?
