Me too. I think it's because spiders are usually just kind of chilling in a web, or the corner of the ceiling, not making any sudden moves. But the 'pedes' - they're zooming around unpredictably at top speed. They just freak me the fuck out. Also, they're carnivores. (I might see one if I Google).

I have astonishingly large and fast centipedes in my basement. They only emerge when it's dark. Some asshole keeps turning the light off down there. I think it's one of them.

A difficulty in transitioning over here from Threads is folks are using different usernames (as is their right, of course) and so when someone follows me, I have been assuming it's because we're Thriends and giving them a follow back. I know immediately if the creepy chat appears they're not...

Oh my god, I thought it WAS Friday. I'm doing remote stuff for an event that's in a time zone 12 hours ahead and it's messing with my mind....

Same. I don't really understand the compulsion to be creepy.

And turned off the chat for now. I do enjoy being chatty, but if we've never interacted before, ever, it's unlikely we have anything to discuss. People can be so weird.
