The giraffe creature leans down to drink from what appears to be a stream of water with strange bioluminescent properties, running through a moss covered forest lit with soft blue light.

Art tip:
If you can't make the water not look like glowing giraffe drool, you embrace the glowing giraffe drool and claim it was exactly what you were going for. And yes this piece was meant to be surrealism from the beginning and not a last second decision. Definitely.

I have learned that water is ridiculously difficult to draw 😂 one stream has set me back so much on my latest piece because I can't get it to look like water x.x

A figurine of a seal carved from malachite, a crystal with light and dark green tightly layered into patterns. It sits on a paper with a likeness drawn much larger than the carving, with bubbles around the seal and a signature in the bottom right of the paper.

Of course I had to draw my malachite seal! Isn't he so cute??

Five glass bottles sit on a black metal shelf. From left to right, the first jar is a mason jar painted black with gently swirling red and purple bubble paint in a ring around the upper lip. The second bottle has a long neck and a round, short base. It is painted white with rough streaks of black sparsely painted around it and a black circular seal in the center. There are purple swirls in bubble paint around the top rim of the bottle and around the bottle connecting with the black circular seal. The next bottle is short and thin, it has a cork and is painted a transparent light turquoise color. It has a pentacle in sparkly green bubble paint in the center of the bottle, with two thin chains wrapping it above and below the pentacle. The next bottle is a mason jar painted turquoise with sparky teal paint swirling around and dripping down the bottle. The last bottle is a crown bottle painted teal with a darker teal wash, the windows have two crows painted on the transparent glass, one flying and one sitting on a branch.

Painting glass bottles is incredibly satisfying

Two painted clay figurines, on the left is a hedgehog painted spring green with a soft yellow face and feet, it's eyes and nose are black and it has clear quartz points for spines. The quartz points have rings of gold around them where they meet the body of the hedgehog. On the right is a sky blue giraffe with soft purple nose and hooves, it's eyes are black and there is silver paint on its cheeks and dripping down it's back. There is a quartz point on its forehead like a unicorn horn.

I need to add to this series, I'm making a list of other critters I can use quartz points with 👀

One of my favorites of the cards I've made so far, and a personal favorite tarot card. The Moon 💙

A set of 5 tarot cards sit on a wooden table, each black with silver borders. I started this giraffe tarot a couple years ago, I need to get to work on it again!
