(I was expecting some AI IDE)
(Drumrollβ¦ it wasnβt)
Tuple!
Itβs a lair programming tool that allows βtaking overβ the other personβs screen/IDE. Apparently his whole team uses it daily & love it
Appreciate the feedback Chris! We've been tinkering with how invites work in an effort to simplify. I'll drop you a DM to get more context so we can properly work it into our iterations

I am excited to announce that it went live today at ~5am EDT on podcast players, and will be going live on YouTube at 2pm EDT!(youtu.be/l7hUn1zTLC4?...)

Thank you! We are proud of what we've built and confident we can continue to make Tuple better, including supporting Linux again at some point down the line π
14.01.2025 14:21 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0TL;DR: while Zoom and Discord are often alternatives to Tuple, we have different constraints as a 9 person, bootstrapped team. We weren't able to profitably support Linux at our quality bar, so we paused development. We hope to revisit - if you have suggestions for how to do that, we're all ears!
13.01.2025 16:16 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 4 π 1There is indeed - you can read the letter from one of our cofounders about our Linux work and decision to pause development here: tuple.app/linux
13.01.2025 16:15 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0We realize these are our problems, not yours - but we hear you and hope to give Linux an honest shake in the future
In the meantime, drop us a DM about your personal account. Happy to hook you up with an free ambassador license given your company is already paying for a seat for you
Thanks for the feedback! we get it; Tuple is only as useful as it allows you to pair with your ppl. We've long wanted to support Linux and spent years developing a beta. We paused the work bc we couldn't do it justice as a 9 person bootstrapped team. Context from 1 of our cofounders: tuple.app/linux

06.12.2024 17:47 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0tuple.app I just signed up my first newsletter sponsor, Tuple. I love what I've seen of the product for pairing/ensemble work & I'll be using it more as I prepare their ads.
One more step towards making my newsletter sustainable & getting superior collaboration tools into programmers' hands!
