As a scientist, one thing that angers me is when there are needlessly dragged out meetings that could have been emails.

I think it often surprises people when I try to ensure that meetings I chair run exceptionally short and to the point.

On a serious note, how does one engage with people from rural communities when it comes to anti-intellectualism and anti-science stances?

It's anecdotal, but it's difficult to engage when facts are dismissed as "opinions" and "arrogance".

Deeply, deeply frustrating that my hometown have co-opted a staunch anti-vaxxer and conspiracy theorist as a councillor.
