The Trump admin has cancelled the panels that approve NIH grants, & is also banning scientists from communicating with the public, attending conferences, and hiring.

NIH is the largest funder of biomedical research in the world. This will severely halt the development of many lifesaving treatments.

I have some data from University of Minnesota (so hundreds of students over multiple semesters). Definitely higher in ochem 1 (~15-30%) than ochem 2 (~5-15%), but NOT 50%!

Mentoring graduate students is hands down the most fulfilling thing I have ever done. That transition from undergrad to grad student mentality and skillset is amazing to see.
