As a MANW 2025 Jury Member and creator of the Arma franchise, Marek's experience and insight will be integral to the process of choosing category winners, and he is excited to see what the community will enter in our second iteration of this contest.

They went on to release Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis (now known as ARMA: Cold War Assault) in 2001, and the rest is history.

Eventually, both he and Ondřej saved up enough money to develop games full-time. With their business partner Slavomír Pavlíček, they founded Bohemia Interactive in 1999.

Marek's professional journey in the gaming industry started back in 1992 with his first job - a video game salesman in a modest JRC shop in Prague.

Marek was just a teenager when the Czech video game industry began. He designed games with his brother Ondřej, and they dreamed of having their own game development studio.

As a MANW 2025 Jury Member, Ivan will bring decades of experience with the series, and will be looking forward to seeing the creativity and ingenuity of our modding community.

He has also worked on other Bohemia projects like Take On Helicopters and Take on Mars, @dayz.bsky.social, and as Creative Director of Vigor.

Ivan has worked as an Environment Designer for Arma: Armed Assault and Arma: Queen's Gambit, the Lead Designer for Arma 2 and Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead, and one of the Creative Directors of Arma 3.

Ivan began his Arma journey with Arma: Cold War Assault as a modder, working on the FDF Mod and the ČSLA (Czechoslovak People's Army) Mod. Like a number of other talented modders over the years, Ivan was invited to join BI as a Designer.
