Fox host says he 'hasn't washed hands in 10 years' Harvard and Princeton graduate Pete Hegseth says germs don't exist because he can't see them.

Just a quick reminder that Pete Hegseth was also the Fox News host who said he never washes his hands, because he doesn't believe in micro organisms as he can't see them. Of course we're all fucked

The reason why some people think the New York Times is a liberal paper is because in like 1986 a far right wing talk radio simpleton called the New York Times a liberal paper. Most American political thought is based on scenarios like this

As the title says, these programs have always been tough to navigate. But in the last year, they've gotten worse.

The number of fixed-wing aircraft lost in friendly fire incidents today equals the number lost during the entire 20-year span of conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan since 9/11.

Before today, no F-15 had been shot down in more than 35 years β€” since January 19, 1991, during the Persian Gulf War.

Before today, the U.S. had never had more than one aircraft shot down by friendly fire in a single day, let alone three.

Virginia redistricting election can move forward, court rules Although Monday’s ruling means the redistricting referendum will take place, it is not the end of the legal saga.

BREAKING: In a win for Virginia voters, a court rules that Democratic lawmakers’ special election, which would allow voters to decide on mid-decade redistricting to counter GOP gerrymandering, can proceed.

Virginians can begin voting on the measure this Friday, March 6.

I was born in the 50s. We hid under our desks at school during atomic bomb drills. They timed us to see how long it took to walk home. Some wealthy folks built bomb shelters. It was a time of nightmares.

1973 here. When I hear the pre-1997 Emergency Broadcast System tone in an old TV show or movie, I still feel a momentary shiver of fear run up my spine.

I credit a childhood where we were constantly told that that sound could mean we had 30 minutes or less to live.

I can recall many summer evenings watching the sun set behind the trees and houses across the street, picturing a mushroom cloud in the sky.

The thought of war was distressing; and now many more children are getting real violence lobbed their way by the USA's mad king.

Spent my youth alternating major US port with military bases and Central America, contemplating where I'd be when It Happened. Quick death would be merciful; watching the end of civilization and dying out of humanity would be horrible, but sorta interesting.

One of my friends had a fallout shelter in the back yard and a 'fun' game we played was at any moment, someone could yell "bomb!" and we would see how quickly we could make it to the shelter from anywhere else in the neighborhood.
