I did it! I finally bought my new beast of a machine, after the fiasco that was losing years of my work in a recent hard drive failure.

The @Alienware #Area51 Gaming Desktop, with specs that suit my work.

Next up to decide on: monitor, server, @elgato card and RGB keyboard.

A glimpse into my professional life, when I'm not nerding out.

It's been a week, and a heck of a few months. I feel I've hit a Checkpoint though, finally, akin to Crash Bandicoot! 😆

Yeah, totally. Just saps the joy out of it and sometimes I feel this world needs a bit more innocence and a bit of the simple.

Honestly, since becoming a dad and my career becoming all-consuming, all I want is an easy, simple escape. Where you can dip in and out, but lately just feels too much!

With you on this! It's what keeps it nostalgic and carefree. It's meant to be a little bit absurd and silly. We already have competition in the TCG space. If it goes full on then... we've seen how that pans out.

How's everyone's weekend going? What's keeping you chill and cosy?

The closest I get to gaming these days is music, given work, life and everything else, but knowing that my studio is about to make a return, and this music is playing, the lighting is just right, and I'm finally getting my space back again... It's hitting all the feels.

I've been obsessively listening to a piano/lo-fi rendition of select music taken from the Pokémon OST, by DreamBytes, and it's really been hitting the nostalgia hard.

Seeing them on my feed without warning gives me the creeps and a whole lotta shudders 🤮

Not me unfollowing a known TCG accessories supplier for featuring a [redacted] and, by extension, a reminder of another person who's [redacted].

Throwing it back to the time that duo wreacked havoc in the local gaming scene and then escaped to Australia because they were effectively outed.
