ICYMI, IDSA released the first guidelines for the management and treatment of complicated urinary tract infections (cUTIs).
The new guidelines simplify the prior definitions of uncomplicated UTIs and cUTIs, & address treatment for cUTIs.

Had a great time at the KSHP spring meeting today! Met several pharmacists across the state that I didn’t previously know. Kristen is a pharmacist at Norton who presented on duration of therapy in SSTIs who cited the 2020 SIS guidelines so of course I wanted to learn from their practice!

Nifty RCT in @jama.com IM today evaluating the impact of targeted EM pharmacist intervention for patients presenting to the ED with medication related problems in France showing a dramatic ⬇️ in readmissions compared to SOC. Small and single center, but compelling!
