A lovely active badger sett entrance at a recent sett check., Smooth tunnel roof & walls from regular activity, bedding present and can you also spot the green grass that’s been taken in?

And cattle farming, not only destroying the planet, is destroying our native wildlife… the badgers! Nearly 250,000 killed for cattle farming. #EndTheCull

This Woodland Trust bluebell wood hides a quiet tragedy.
Two thriving badger settsβ€”now empty.
The cull spreads beyond boundaries. Even protected sites aren’t safe.
Badgers deserve better.
It’s time to #EndTheCull.

Badgers are under attack.
Culled, crushed by roads, and losing habitat fast. These native animals shape ecosystemsβ€”we need them.
Protecting badgers means fighting for wild Britain.
They can’t speak, but you can.

We surveyed a proposed solar farm site after the ecological appraisal claimed there were no signs of badgers.
🐾 We found signs & gave full report for the appeal hearing. We'll be informing the ecology company too!

Our Planning team needs more help to reviews applications and sends comments. Badgers can coexist with development if given space and habitat connectivity.

We are their voice. 🦑

πŸ¦‘πŸ’” BADGER CALL OUT
A heartbreaking discovery 3 dead badgers in woods. Sally & Rich, attended found 2 cubs showing clear signs of malnutrition β€” they had likely lost their mother some time ago and were too young to fend for themselves.

Throw back to a badger day nest in an old tree trunk that we found when sett surveying the cull zone. Wonder if the badger that used this is still alive? #EndTheCull

Global impact of human-led species loss is greater than expected A study has found that the extinction of bird species caused by humans over 130,000 years has led to significant reductions in avian functional diversity – the role of birds in the environment – and resulted in the loss of three billion years of evolutionary history.

The leaves have fallen and now form a deep crunchy carpet, allowing the moonlight to shine onto the badger sett where the badgers calmly assemble ready for the night ahead.
