Anyhow, the very-drunk XO cheap-shotted me and gave me a black-eye a minute or so after this was taken, as I went to get another margarita for the pain of my lacerated-leg.

One of the female-Junior officers took me to bed and then had sex with one of the guys pictured.

Everyone from the boat came back and saw me sipping from a fishbowl margarita and flipped their absolute shit. The CO and XO threatened me with an Article 80 for attempted-murder. I might have brandished the broken-over-my-head beer bottle and threatened some people. Chalk it up to fog of war. 🤷

The picture was taken back at the resort/hotel (The Hotel Sierra) we were all staying at about an hour later. I was laid out on lounge-chair, next to the pool with a head full of "pharmaceuticals" because the clinic wouldn't open until Monday. And I was flying out on Saturday afternoon.

The XO from the boat put me in a headlock; so I punched him in the jaw. I got manhandled out of the bar (The "American Bar" in Golfito, CR) and the Bosun threw me headfirst into a giant planter for a baby-palm tree. Which split wide open. I slipped on some vomit and lacerated my leg, really bad.

The day of the picture (Friday night), I had a beer-bottle cracked over my head because I punched an E-3 from the boat (who later showed up as my apprentice at the air station) in the mouth for sexually assaulting the female pilot on the deployment that I was not attached to, but there to support.

Anyhow, here's my Veterans Day picture. I was in Golfito, CR after smuggling military aircraft parts into the country in my personal luggage, two-days prior for a deployed aircrew.
I had stabbed a cabbie a day prior for trying to take some of us to a cartel brothel after hearing him say "raptar."

I have no doubt that some dipshit, one-and-doner, who got out and ascended the dook-tower ranks of these agencies cooked up a (coked-up) idea to do "seasonal occupation... but, you know, 'we'll right do it right, this time' " and then pitched it to the rest of those losers who applauded it.

ICE, BP, CBP have no strategic-thinkers. No serious ones, at least. Going back to pre-DHS, it's "strategy-by-meme." In other words, they read whatever hot dogshit is making its rounds in the office echo-chamber, and just do that bit. They haven't shown a history of understanding broader contexts.

I respect Wes, but I'm going to disagree with a bit of nuance.

Implying some sense of stategic-intelligence to this decision is the same as buying into the idea that some dipshit, Russian-milblogger "knows stuff" because he's logged thousands of hours in HOI4.
