More supportive housing funds saves New Yorkers After years of hard work and advocacy, we successfully secured in the 2025-26 state budget a critical funding increase for New York’s original supportive housing program.

Governor Hochul Announces $63 Million Awarded to Strengthen Supportive Housing Across New York State Governor Hochul announced $63 million in grants awarded to 130 supportive housing services providers across the state that help individuals and families experiencing homelessness remain stably housed.

@governor.ny.gov announced grant awards to 130 NYSSHP programs. This is a welcome and much needed start, but Gov. Hochul and legislators need to implement a five-year plan that begins with an additional $62M in this year's budget to fully meet program needs.

Yesterday, HUD rescinded the FY25 Continuum of Care Notice of Funding Opportunity. This rescindment came an hour before a scheduled hearing in a lawsuit, led by NY Attorney General, against HUD charging that the NOFO is illegal & unconstitutional.
