How have I not found this earlier?

Photo of a canal in autumn. The canal is wide, with narrowboats (barges) moored on either side. The banks of the canal are lined with trees, whose leaves are a variety of shades of green, gold and red. On the towpath to the left, there are a few pedestrians enjoying the scene in the sunshine, and we can see the shadow of the photographer. In the distance, we see the portal of a tunnel through which the canal passes. The sky is bright blue, with some puffy clouds.

Dwarf, barred, irregular galaxy NGC 6822 (Barnard's Galaxy).
It's located 1.6 million light years away from us, which in cosmic scale context, is basically in our backyeard.
