Trump said Gaza could be the βRiviera of the Middle East.β Well, I donβt share his vision in that regard. I believe that Gaza should be led by Gazans, and they should rebuild based on what they want without corruption and terrorism. The same with Yemen, the same with Syria, the same with Iraq. All of a sudden, you can imagine a Middle East where you land in Dubai, and you make your way to Beirut, down to Tel Aviv, to Gaza City, to Cairo. Itβs like the domino theory, but in reverse. Yeah, yeah. Exactly.
That was hysterical.

I spent a good portion of the 90s as an expat in various countries and a message like this would have terrified and angered me.
I was in Jakarta during the uprising that took out Suharto and our Embassy there was far better prepared for that than our current State Dept. is for this war of choice.
It takes somebody who has no idea how to run a state to think this idea of "pick a leadership group out of a hat" plan will ever work.

Very pleased but not surprised to see Ukraine on the forefront on drone tech.
Neccessity being the mother of invention.
www.bbc.com/news/article...
They change the facts on the ground at everywhere they are aimed.
Drone Warfare is next gen.
But I get your point.
Anyone who's watched the effect drones have had during Russia's invasion of Ukraine should have understood the economics of drone warfare.
They are cheap to make but very expensive to shoot down.
This is madness.
So much of what comes from the WH will come to be seen as propaganda for some insider dealing.
Even the military actions.
Hang in there.

Total speculation here (fair warning): For the most part Iranian leadership up to the recent decapitation was measured. There were warnings given to US bases, etc.
That so may leaders were above ground to be hit is very fishy.
Surely clears the way for a more robust Iranian response though.
Accept the grandiose vision of myself I project or die like dogs.

I wonder if the Egyptian Priesthood ever got greedy and kept the Nilometer's secrets to only a few, to boost their income?
