I do early facial animation tests for my characters to get an idea of the emotional range I can get out of them.

If you want to come up with neat ideas, be sure you're feeding your brain an eclectic diet of weird stuff, seek out interesting experiences, and then go take a 5 hour shower.

if you like adventure games, you’ll like it. If you like Nordic folklore, you’ll like it. if you like both, you’ll absolutely love it.

...That giant wolf for example is mostly flat shapes, but built to create the illusion of a 3D creature from the camera angles we picked, much like this raven.

In our indie games we use a curated camera (rather than player controlled), in part so we can construct our worlds to those views.

So a few weeks ago I played & finished Mythwrecked after seeing @kanaratron.bsky.social post about it. I’d previously enjoyed his game Roki so decided to give it a go. Found it surprisingly addictive (“I’ll just get this done, oh and also that, and…”), and the ending was handled really well 😊

Being a micro indie isn't just making games...
