The Burden of I, releasing this Friday, is multi-instrumentalist and songwriter @allieinchains.bsky.social’s first black metal offering. A veteran of thrash and power metal, Alicia uses the atmospheric elements of the genre to explore themes of isolation, identity, trauma, & ultimately perseverance.

My personal recommendation is to buy the hell out of this tape because the album is sick as fuck.

I appreciate it! I have the next few days off and plan to really dive into it. Looking forward to hearing it in the car and then on some headphones!
