It's a very -deliberate- choice of words. He's taking any and all awkwardness of the interaction and subsequent rejection onto Himself so the other person doesn't catch flack or feel bad about the whole thing. Y'all are aware of that, right???

I feel like people heavily misunderstand Xie Lian's whole "I can't get erect" thing which honestly shouldn't surprise me considering how much they misunderstand his .. *gestures vaguely* .. everything else but y'all realize why he says that right??
