Once you get past the blasphemy, a CASABLANCA prequel series isn’t a bad idea (and they’ve tried twice as noted in the replies). Bar run by a carefree bachelor, lots of colorful characters? It could be CHEERS with spy/thriller elements, you want to go where nobody knows your name, etc.

You lack imagination if you think that’s impossible.

That’s the “rule,” but there are lots of exceptions (which is kinda how it should work except they’re still not consistent about it). Anchorman a good example using that exact sentence. I used to keep a list but eventually stopped finding the MPA’s uselessness interesting.

I remember the first time I saw the Netflix logo and heard the sound effect before a movie at a film festival, and the film festival audience laughed. It was like going to the cinema and hearing the State Farm jingle.

That was the case for a little while (except for new covers and Fold-Ins but not by Jaffee), but a year or so ago they started including 10-12 new pages each issue.

It’s interesting that federal regulations require the flight attendant to read safety announcements but don’t require the announcements to be intelligible.

On the other hand, the current operators of MAD hate having to deal with subscriptions, and Netflix is very subscription-oriented, so maybe that situation will get better.

The USPS posting a NINE BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! sounds terrible. Certainly worse than if you said "USPS costs thirty dollars per person per year" even though that means the same thing and more accurately describes a government service

WB owns DC, which owns MAD Magazine, so I assume Netflix will ruin that again somehow, maybe digital-only magazines where you can’t fold the Fold-In.
