One of our core objectives is to accelerate the completion of a DNA barcode reference library of European species. To get there, we need a comprehensive analysis of existing gaps in the barcode databases.
It would be incredible to have a similar list and gap analysis for aquatic fungi. >6000 species described worldwide and counting... And for many of them, no DNA barcode available yet.
