Interesting to compare UK/French readership of our article on euthanasia. Of course, many variables play a role but more readers in France. The UK seems quite not keen at looking at other countries when it comes to implementing assisting dying.

Wonderful, @richardshaw.bsky.social; it's a great paper so timing does not matter.

Without healthcare, social security and proper infrastructure, they might be happier with a low paid job.

What I meant is that I don't care about the Americans. They voted from him -- if they're poor, that's their problem. But it should not hit Thai, Vietnamese and Laotian workers.

They could potentially pay lower wages in the US as well and trade unions (10% membership and only in some "old" industries) might not be more a problem than in low wage nations anymore. What economists and others don't say is the constant attack from the US and UK against development.

And, maybe, also have a bit more of social and ethnical diversity?
