Seems unlikely that set were working with 🧊 they took the guy yesterday to Hennipen County Jail which doesn't honor detainers.

Those are actually bounty hunters. Yesterday they grabbed someone in my area. They identified themselves as such and didn't have badges or patches. They were followed and took the person to Hennipen County Jail. Which doesnt honor detainders.

We need a new word that is beyond feckless to describe this situation. Maybe we should talk to Merriman Webster about putting schumer in to mean beyond feckless.

I think we need a new word for extremely feckless. I my suggestion is schumer.

Seems like you're very selectively reading that.

You have any evidence other than the utterances of racial slur which is a common event with condition?

In Tourette syndrome, compulsive swearing can be uncontrollable and undesired by the person uttering the phrases. Involuntary outbursts, such as racial or ethnic slurs in the company of those most offended by such remarks, can be particularly embarrassing. The phrases uttered by a person with coprolalia do not necessarily reflect the thoughts or opinions of the person as they are unconsciously produced

You're wrong. The occurence of tics is random. The utterances are not. They're often the most offensive/upsetting/disruptive/embarrassing things someone could say in a situation. They're essentially intrusive thoughts that are expressed vocally.

Tourette’s Campaigner John Davidson Says He Is β€œDeeply Mortified” if Anyone Considers β€œInvoluntary Tics to Be Intentional” After BAFTA Backlash "I have spent my life trying to support and empower the Tourette’s community and to teach empathy, kindness and understanding from others and I will continue to do so," Davidson said following uproar ...

You obviously missed the reference. It was about Trump's comment "Nobody wants to see that" in reference to including disabled vets in a parade.

Also your argument mixes up who is being helped. Those are accommodations so the vets can be part of the event not to avoid your discomfort.

24.02.2026 19:47 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

But that doesn't justify treating someone different becuase of their disability for our sake and not theirs. /2

Hate speech implies intent. There was no intent here. He is no more cuppable than had it been loud nonsense noises or grunts.

It is tragic that his tics included a racial slur. It's also tragic that it happened to Jordan and Lindo while they were presenting. /1

Wonder how many of those with that line of reasoning were offended by by Trump's "Nobody wants to see that" comment about disabled veterans.

They could have handled it better with a more explicit warning or showing a clip of his biography to demonstrate.

I don't think moving the disabled person because thier disability is inconvenient to us is the answer here.

24.02.2026 19:26 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

So due to his disability he should be seated some where less inconvenient to the rest of us?

Sounds a lot like saying we don't want the disabled vets in the parade.

One of the films nominated for multiple awards was about his life.

According to one survey, the most common factors that patients with TS and their families associated with worsened tics include stress or anxiety, fatigue, holidays, birthdays, and return to school in the fall [8]. Some patients report that tics become worse in scenarios where they are particularly self-conscious of their tics, noting that β€œthe desire to suppress them tends to make them much worse,” or β€œmy tics get worse in any situation w[h]ere [I] particularly do not want them noticed” [9]. Additionally, some patients report that any situation in which their tics are acknowledged increases their tics: β€œtalking about my tics … invariably makes me tic much more”

In the case of his condition focusing on/thinking about/apologizing for tics can reinforce them and make them occur more often.

The movie, several other people who suffer from the condition Ive seen do shorts on it and medical publications all indicate that apologizing and thinking about them can make them worse/reinforce that specific tic.

If you know apologizing is going to reinforce the tic and make it more likely to occur you should make that happen?

What happened here is tragic on both sides. Neither Davidson or Jordan and Lindo did anything wrong. The BBC/BAFTAs could have handled things better.

Why Tic Severity Changes from Then to Now and from Here to There Much of the research regarding Tourette’s syndrome (TS) has focused on why certain individuals develop tics while others do not. However, a separate line of research focuses on the momentary influences that cause tics to increase or decrease in ...

And another one. If focusing on/thinking about/apologizing for tics makes them recurr and occur more often apologizing is counter productive.

Tics Tics are unintentional, fast and repetitive muscle movements. Find out how long they last, when to get medical advice and how they can be treated.

I've seen several tiktoks/reels with adults with the condition talking about this holding true for anyone. But I didn't save links for those.

Here's another link on the issue that isnt from a kids hospital.

Seemed like after Pretti they backed off on going after observers as much. Then after Homan had been in place for a couple days they started getting aggressive, doing a lot more boxing in, threatening and detaining, especially if you dont have a buddy there to record. /1

Don't know about guns drawn. But they have definitely stepped up detaining observers since Homan came to town.
