So far in 2025, three pedestrians and three bicyclists have died in Springfield as a result of vehicle crashes. That's more than in all of 2024. Zoe McIntyre reports the city is trying to do something about it with its Vision Zero Action Plan.

Police say a Springfield man broke into his probation officer’s home on March 18 and refused to let him leave. Michael J. Sheets now faces multiple charges, including disarming a peace officer.

My Girl Scouts cookie order was delivered to the wrong house. An elderly neighbor lady who I’ve never met before opened the package, saw the contents and then got out in the snowy weather today to deliver them to me. My faith in humanity is somewhat restored.

The man who was stabbed to death Sunday in Springfield, Mo., often shared he was afraid of dying on the streets & if his family would know what happened to him. He also worried if anyone would pray for him. Police have not yet announced any arrests/suspects. My story: sgfcitizen.org/government/c...

Anyone can get scammed on Facebook Marketplace, even Greene County Sheriff Jim Arnott. He was willing to talk about it with our Steve Pokin, who says the investigative trail led to Africa. Arnott also shared lessons learned from the incident.

Greene County prosecutors have filed charges related to the murder of 14-year-old Jackie Strahle, whose body was found on Jan. 28. Evrinn Rashawd Worlds is charged with abandonment of a corpse and misdemeanor tampering with physical evidence.

Think you shoveled a lot of snow last week? Missouri State's track coaches, assisted by some athletes, cleared two lanes on their 400-meter track so workouts could take place. Steve Pokin writes that with no indoor facility, the program has to be creative.
