I feel incredibly guilty for not staying there longer, but I needed to return home tonight. I'm just really glad my 20 year old truck with issues managed to make the 3hr trip without issue. Hopefully it can do this several more times.

I'm just glad I managed to make it back to my hometown in time to see my dad before he passed. I also managed to get my mom down to visit him first even though she was also in the hospital. We both got to say goodbye, unfortunately he wasn't too coherent in the end. Now I have to focus on my mom.

I joined a very exclusive club this weekend, the one that happens when you lose a parent. My dad was 83, a cancer and stroke survivor, so I had mentally prepared myself as best I could for a few years now. Unfortunately my mom is in the hospital too.

I never new this was even a controversy somehow. I didn't know there was another option. I would not have known the DW reference and would not have noticed it at all as I never played DW.

Here's what I remember. Got it when it came out. I don't remember when that was or how close to release. I had zelda & zelda II and loved both. I distinctly remember finding the gravestone and being like "Are they talking about Zelda's Link?" And being confused as kids are about such things.

a fluffy black orb like a soot sprite is sitting on a white floor. there’s a small crescent shape of white right in the middle, with a black round spot centered within it. at first glance, it has the appearance of a single eyeball floating in the middle of the void. at second glance, it still looks like that. but maybe on third examination, it’s clearer that the white is from a dog’s little snout, and the black in the middle is the dog’s nose, and any other distinguishing feature like eyes, ears, and paws are absorbed into the black void.

an exceedingly fluffy black dog stands expectantly on the floor and looks up at a little kid in a high chair who presumably has snacks to share. the little bit of white on the dog’s nose and their pink tongue is the only interruption in the otherwise endless sea of darkness. but at least from this angle, they have a more defined body and tiny feet, so she’s a little less “orb” and a little more “dog.”

As a tank main, I hate this dungeon. I never know if my group is going to take off or want to kill the mobs here. It's a welcome change to me. I also, despite how many times I've done it, still get lost in the last section lol.

This doesn’t mean to stop calling by the way. The execs in those meetings are shifting the levers back ever so slightly so they can see where it is we’ll stop calling.

how to avoid uk age verification on bsky the easy way:

-have the ublock origin extension and click on it then the settings icon
-go to my filters
-tick enable custom filters and allow custom filters requiring trust
-paste the txt in the post ive quoted to the big text field and apply changes
