[I think the door allows for keycard access, it beeps differently when Y enters, and she has a keycard.]

X looks at the door, its worn paint and slightly rusted metal shining in the dim light, before turning back to K.

[I believe in you :)]

[I may or may not be claustrophobic :(]

X hated small spaces, and it now made sense why she didn't want to crawl through the vent in Outpost-3, which meant the options wete highly limited.

X nodded, before changing her visor to display a message.

[Hi :)]

She was probably smiling underneath too, but of course with the screeching metal machine around her mouth, it was hard to tell.

X shrugged her shoulders, but turned to K, hoping that she would find a way to remove the device without getting caught... Or atleast find a way for them both to escape.

The door opened just enough for an arm to poke through, it was Y’s arm, with a remote in her hand, as she pressed a button, the loud noise stopped, and X relaxed.

Instead of entering further, Y just mumbled something under her breath and close the door again…

X nods, as if she knew what K was saying through the noise...

An hour, maybe two goes by before the very quiet sound of a keypad echoes through the door, meaning someone is trying to come in.

X doesn't respond again, she knows something, and it probably has to do with Y.

X sinks to the floor, lying on her side and continuing to cover her audio receptors... She looks sad, and tired...

X immediately backed away when K started messing with the device around her mouth, but despite that, it began to let out a high-pitched ringing sound that made X cover her audio receptors in pain.

X didn’t respond, she couldn’t, there was a big metal device clamped shut around her mouth, it had speakers, suggesting it was supposed to do something…

But X began to panic, trying to warn K of something, perhaps Y was coming back soon?

Eventually, a small, faint light was visible through a pitch black room, a figure was curled up in a ball against the wall, and crying, although muffled.

Oh yeah. X is definitely in here.

The sounds of the entire facility mixed together in the vent, trying to find where X was being kept was going to be difficult, especially K had no idea what the layout of the facility was, and had to rely on looking through vent covers.

The taste of the oil was immediately bitter. I’m sure it won’t have any lasting effects- wait what do you mean truth serum-

IM SURE IT’LL BE A-OKAY!! X is more important right now then the mystery oil that seems to be temporarily rewriting K’s code.

The room was small, with nothing to really break, but, there was a big vent on the ceiling with a loose cover. Y must of missed it when checking the room before putting K in there.

There was also a mysterious oily substance on the floor, it smelled like oil, but *probably* didn’t taste like it.

The brain cells I loose from hearing “your oc is just Twitter?” are worth it

Y rolled her eyes before turning and pressing a button, releasing K.

“If you’re going to thrash around, don’t break my things doing it.”

Y looked at the time and turned to leave, smiling.

“It’s about time for me to see X again, see you whenever I decide to come back.”

“She’s fine… well, I guess if you call half-functioning fine…”

Y is still absolutely hiding something, her smile and tone are calm for someone who has further intentions.

“The problem is, well, she bites… a lot. She’s never done it before a couple of weeks ago…”

Y held her hand up and pointed.

X looked around, she felt as if she was being watched, by something, someone, a being who wasn’t there… the landscape around her glitched ever-so-slightly…

“What’s… going on?”

X takes a sigh of relief, but doesn’t yet exit, she’ll sleep in the debris for tonight, just to be safe.

She doesn’t want to be found by Cyn, she doesn’t want to die, the safest way to prevent that is to stay where she is for now.

Weeks later, K awakes in a dimly-lit room with some kind of force preventing her from moving. Y walks in to greet her.

“Welcome back from that coma… didn’t think I’d knock you out for a couple weeks but oh well, science is unpredictable…”

She is absolutely hiding something.

X crawls further back into the debris, if Cyn tries to come in here, it’ll be difficult since not even X can stand underneath all the rubble.

X sits there and thinks about life while trying not to die.

X ran, and ran, trying to escape, she didn’t want to die, death isn’t fun, especially when it’s permanent.

“I- I have to loose her!”

X ran into an area with a ton of abandoned buildings p, weaving through each one before finally settling inside the debris of a crumbled building, well-hidden…

X attempts to dodge the sword, but it gets her good in the arm, and it falls off.

“I- I knew it!”

X attempted to run again, she didn’t try to fly, no, she’d be spotted from a mile away if she did that…

“…Are you real? There’s no way you could’ve gotten here that fast if you were not following me, and the only thing following me was that Cyn drone…”

X is suspicious.

“The last…?”

X looked at Tessa with a bit of a sad face, it was a little weird that suddenly a human was here, after X was getting chased by a robot who wanted to eat her core… she wondered if this was an illusion or something…

X opened the door and walked out, looking at the human in a spacesuit, the voice was so familiar and yet, she couldn’t remember who Tessa was, at all, it was as if her memories were just… gone.

“I-I’m sorry… I’m afraid I can’t recall who you are…”

X turned and faced the door, she’s heard that voice somewhere… but… where… and who…? She doesn’t remember who Tessa is… but she knows that she’s important…

X began to approach the door.

X heard the exclamation from outside, and began to look for an escape, but, the only escape is the front door, oh no, she’s cornered herself… this is a terrible way to die…

Die? Death… X had died before, maybe it would be like the other times… where she was found and put back together…

X held her breath, attempting to make no noise, maybe, just maybe, she’d make it out okay, she hears Cyn walk past and lets out a shaken sigh… surely the eldritch being couldn’t hear that… right?
