The relationship between science and truth is changing in a worrying way. Courage to those who remain, you are pillars of our democracies, repositories of ideas, wellsprings of reflexivity and purveyors of emancipation. I will continue to be an ally in this struggle over relationships with reality.

This means that I step away from academia. As I do so, I feel sad for the institution that is the University, which has been underfunded for too long, which is struggling to offer (stable) opportunities to such brilliant researchers, which is coming under new attack from the far right.

I am happy that this new position connects with one of my PhD results which underlined the need to further develop local and regional energy transition institutional capacities. This also allows me to keep working on energy democracy and more polycentric energy governance, in a more practical way 🙂

Happy to share that I am starting a new job at FEDARENE, the european federation of agencies and regions for energy and environment.

I will support regional & local institutions in advancing their energy transition agenda, with a focus on fostering renewable energy communities.
