Continuing with my rewatch, I finished Andor. I know people think S2 is the best, but after doing a rewatch, I think S1 is perfect. S2 is great, but S1 only had to be itself. The second half of s2 is focused on tying into Rogue One, I think it suffers just a little bit for.

Same! On paper it has everything I love. Toriyama’s artwork is great. But it’s just not clicking. My wife asked me what the story is so far, “I’m on a quest because my dad was on a quest and he died. So I hired random people I don’t know or care about to fuck around”.

I’ve never played a dragon quest game before, and everything I read I mine said that starting with the DQ3 HD 2D remake was a good starting point. It’s why they released that one first.

So, I don’t think I like Dragon Quest. I’m a few hours in, and it hasn’t really clicked yet. And I don’t care about the story.

I did love everything about Mon Mothma’s story at the end of season 2. And I agree, its seasons are great!

I wish I thought that. I think the Goreman massacre was a great arc, but the last half of season 2 was too concerned with connecting to Rogue One instead of being itself. I think Season 1 was much stronger.

I’ve seen it. I’m doing a rewatch. I think Season 1 is better than season 2.

I know a lot of people who do. I just really resonated with the Narkina 5 arc all the way to Maarva’s funeral. I think the Goreman massacre was also great, I just didn’t enjoy how the end of season 2 of Andor was so preoccupied with connecting to Rogue One.

I dunno if I agree that it’s not a good adventure. The Narkina 5 arc and Marva’s funeral rebellion are just so good. I think the problem is that it’s so bleak without the fun and hopefulness that’s present in the other shows/movies.

But at the same time, it’s not as fun as the rest of Star Wars. It’s missing that… magical spark that would bring me back to it over any of the movies or even some of the TV shows. Does that make sense?

Finished S1 of #Andor and onto S2. But wow. Andor Season 1 is a masterpiece. I struggle to even call it Star Wars because it feels too good to be Star Wars. It feels weird grouping this in with any of the other movies and shows. I think S1 of Andor may be the absolute peak of Star Wars as a whole.
