It was an honour to deliver an invited talk at the historic Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre during the international meeting “The Variable Sun: Past, Present and Future Perspectives.”

I presented our recent work from the Austrian Space Weather Office, on understanding errors in solar wind predictions.

The paper captures:

There is a slow #solarstorm approaching the Earth, with models for the 🌍 arrival time ranging from early Sat Jul 26 to early Mon Jul 28 - a very wide range indeed! In SDO/SOHO images it is NOT the fast eruption to the right (look for a ☄️ there!), but a faint "halo" around the ☀️ on early July 23.
