first buds of spring blossoming
when your eyes met mine.

loves the heavy
crunch underfoot

lost in the woods,
a wild adventure,
gazing up
at nature's wonders

admiring her
jewellery—
the leaves, trees,
flowers and ferns

the urban zoo,
that pecks like fowl
at my soul,
left behind
for verdant
pastures new.

that mysterious sphere—
she shows us
what she chooses

playing her cards—
a waxing or
a waning hand

but some she keeps
tucked up her sleeve,
never revealed

watch her
closely,
she has no tell

she hides

Scottish Opera offers hugely discounted tickets to people under the age of 26. In fact most of the theatres here do, usually for around £10. Which means you could see a whole live show for less than the cost of a ticket to one of Timothee Chalamet’s films. Just saying.

I saw my first chevron of Canada geese winging their way across the sky yesterday on their way home. Always a welcome reminder that spring is on the way. It brought a smile to my face.
