Deima Daujotaite spent six weeks working with local communities to understand needs and opportunities for wheat improvement.
This summer, Deimantฤ Daujotaite conducted her fieldwork with Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Organization (KALRO), Njoro, a global expert for wheat rust research.
Deima worked to understand what Kenyan farmers need from new wheat varieties.
