Soft Cell Wiki

The album was announced last August, with plans for release in 2026. The work on it was finished not long before Dave Ball's death in October 2025.

The first single from new and final Soft Cell album will be a limited Record Store Day 2026 release, called Danceteria.
It will contain remixes of album's title song, namely one by Mark Moore (of S'Express fame) and the usual pair of extended and dub.

Miraheze is not related to Wikipedia, although it works with similar principles - non-commercial, ad free, fully managed by volunteers, with community having a say in platform's course of life. Truly an oasis in the current sea of online commercialisation and poor user experience.

He always was so quiet on biz front, seemingly always in the shadow of more open artiste. The lack of attention to and information about him was, honestly, the main reason I started this project.

Rest in peace Dave, and thank you for everything.

Like many of us, I am absolutely gutted by the news of Dave's death.
There was nobody like him, and I never hid that I was way more drawn to his works than of Marc's, for various reasons.

I'm sorry about lack of activity here, at first I didn't have enough time to work on project, then I was hit with mental exhaustion and health issues, and now I'm having technical difficulties to maintain the wiki proper.

re: DDOS attacks in your further replies, while I don't know the context, Miraheze has suffered some big ones in the last year, currently relying on Cloudflare protection.

In mid 2023 Miraheze was at the brink of shutdown, but it soon recovered and continued to work.

Fandom should follow content licensing rules. While I don't know how is situation on Wikidot, in majority of CC cases the source of content should be provided in case of copying/remixing, lack of credits is plagiarism and is eligible for takedown; Fandom's support is responsive in such cases.

There's an old script that should convert Wikidot database to MediaWiki format, however it's a rare sight to see a Wikidot wiki forking and there's not much guarantee it will work.

Fandom still has to follow CC licencing, and since indie wiki has a strict one, incompatible with Fandom's version, plagiarism here is very much eligible for report and rollback.

They also butcher MediaWiki to appeal to Google's crawlers, like hiding "See source code" and "History" buttons or File namespace from unregistered users.

If you are an admin and don't know where to start there are FAQ and guides on Meta Wiki (Miraheze central hub). The platform is run by volunteers, you can ask stuff on Help desk page over there too, or in their Discord or IRC.

It means the wiki became private (was public), members is a user group on wiki itself. Could be an initiative by local admins or measures imposed by Miraheze stewards (global admins) due to possible violation of hosting's policies.

Miraheze is a 100% non-profit, volunteer run wiki hosting which refuses to rely on ads and cares about privacy of its users and autonomy of its communities.
All donations go to technical expenses (servers, upgrades, etc), which means keeping our project online!
