AmigaOS 3.3 Ready for Release in 2026

Lead developer Camilla Boemann provided a status update at Amiga40 in Germany on the progress of AmigaOS 3.3 for the classic line.

AmigaOS 3.3 will be ready for release in 2026.

The issue is not Kickstart. First there needs to be some kind of Uboot compatible "bios". Uboot loads an Amigaloader program that then loads the Kickstart modules off disk.

Both Uboot and Amigaloader can be ported to other PPC hardware. If the ressources are there.
