I'm tired of people saying Hegseth isn't transparent enough.

Name one other Defense Secretary who allowed a reporter access to a Signal chat discussing war plans!

Critical part of the President's new $100,000 charge for H1-B visas: The Administration can also offer a $100,000 discount to any person, company, or industry that it wants. Replacing rules with arbitrary discretion.

Want visas? You know who to call and who to flatter.

I know we keep focusing on Colbert and Kimmel as we should, but we also need to remember there are hundreds of people who work for these shows who also just lost their jobs because of this bullshit, and most of them are probably not millionaires.

I appeared in front of a judge in LA who absolutely made a finding of DV against a spouse based on their threats to call ICE.

She said it was coercive control and intimidation.

People missing an important point about folks getting fired for whatever they said about Charlie Kirk: Americans are being conditioned to be snitches on their fellow citizens who don’t toe a party line on what is β€œallowed” to be expressed. And employers are going along. It’s the new secret police

Watching all these centrist pundits stress the β€œcivility” of Charlie Kirk’s style without addressing the ugliness of his substance is giving me a renewed appreciation of how the civil, polite White Citizens’ Councils conned the same crowd into thinking they were distinct from the cruder Klan.

Too bad the GOP effectively criminalized studying how information moves online and news orgs laid off and demonized all the reporters who covered the burgeoning online accelerationist performative death cults. All of that work was somehow "censorship" that needed to be stopped. Now we're here.

Create something.

As long as I know there are writers, artists, actors, cooks, songwriters, poets, and singers who are out there doing their thing for themselves and others, I'm going to be great.

10yo was only able to get the flu shot this time around, and we will have to return and get the pediatric covid shot when the pharmacy gets its supply in, which should be soon. I think we will possibly have better luck just walking in and requesting an appt in person rather than trying online again.

I got my flu shot and it was a little pinchy but not bad. I wasn't able to schedule my covid shot for this year in any major pharmacy websites in spite of the recent order from Gov. Healey, but I was able to add on a covid shot for this afternoon when I checked in for our flu shots.

Opinion: Susan Stamberg, trailblazer and NPR Founding Mother, retires NPR Founding Mother Susan Stamberg is retiring. She became the first woman to anchor a nightly national news program in 1972, and helped loosen up the serious, stodgy sound of radio hosts.

Abuse survival is such a cluster of unsolicited advice from all angles. It's hard to talk about being a survivor when you know what social pressures you'll have to face from everyone, especially well meaning neighbors, distant relatives, and community members. It's incredible how lonely it can be.

No, Your iPhone Isn't Listening to You. Here's What's Really Happening There are lots of reasons an ad pops up on your phone, but none involve a microphone listening.

"The unsettling feeling that your device is spying on you is real β€” but the culprit isn't a secret microphone. It's the data broker industry," EFF’s @evacide.bsky.social tells @CNET.com. www.cnet.com/tech/servic...
