Believe it or not there are people who want us to go to war with the mayor NOW over Bedford Ave. All we're doing with this tracker is saying that we haven't forgotten about that and other projects/initiatives killed by Adams.

Respectfully, I don't agree. It's just a tracker, not a missile. No mayor is perfect and I imagine this one appreciates having a list of every fuck-up of his predecessor to hold himself accountable to.

Please try to understand that we are well-intended and just trying to hold the mayor accountable. We take your feedback seriously but the level of vitriol we're getting for this is uncalled for.

Why did I even bother trying to explain if you are going to respond in such bad faith? A new mayoral administration started and we had a discussion about how to handle things differently this time.

It's not negative framing to be occasionally disappointed by the mayor! It's just something that happens! No one at DOT or City Hall has complained. We reset the counter last week because of NYPD, which I'm sure they would also like to see the mayor rein in.

Streetsblog is not going to be less critical of the mayor just because suddenly it's someone all our readers think is their boyfriend
