Tobin is a sweet kid too... this is just heartbreaking

Faith Winter was a fighter. She believed in a bigger idea for Colorado and fought for it. I saw her buck systems for years and fight for what she believed in--she refused to see tabor as an insurmountable obstacle and found ways around it, to build a better Colorado. She was also so proud of her kids, and wanted to leave them a better world. I am truly heartbroken at her loss, my prayers go out to her family and loved ones tonight.

Praying for her family tonight. Hug your loved ones a little tighter.

Journalism really is all but dead for so many reasons at the national level but in no small part because so many of the big papers and networks dont view Nuzzi as an exception, just a fool who got caught.

In general it blows my mind what people will say over text without deleting messages

Big News: @atucomms.bsky.social Local 1001, the union representing thousands of the workers who keep our buses and trains moving, has endorsed our campaign for RTD!

Their support means a lot to me as a former labor organizer, and shows our unions believe in my visions of an RTD for everyone.

That’s true, but I’m kind of betting it gets extended. Even if it doesn’t, auto tariffs are one of the areas I am less concerned about, they are generally effective protections and make good bargaining points since we are so heavily tariffed on autos.

It’s disappointing too, because there are bad ideas on our side of the aisle but without an opposition party it’s hard to shut them down.

This might actually be a good thing… “light trucks” are incentivized by our tax code and they kill tons of pedestrians.

The return of smaller cars would be good

(yes, I am saying that BS is going to struggle because the median user cosplays as a more annoying redditor but lefty and regular people don't like that character)

The problem with Rumble, Gab, Mastodon, and now Bluesky is that when you define yourself by opposing a useful—if flawed—tool’s misuse, you end up with a no-true-Scotsman purity culture that regular users find deeply off-putting.

Push back, and you lose the loyal purity-testing ones too.

I mean this is basically the model that tiktok uses? They lease the audios from the copyright owners and then the user base creates content with them.

I would like to think that in the 30 years since DIA was built we have grown some. We have board members running and elected who were born after that... I would say give it a shot.
