Goodbye to Teen Vogue, the latest youth-oriented publication to close.
Thankfully, after 32 years, we're still around, producing high-quality journalism from young people around the globe.
We don't ever give up.

This is Tahiry from Madagascar at YJI's global conference, a long way from her home village that lacks electricity or running water.
Her smile is lighting up Cape Town!
On day one of YJI's conference in Cape Town, four students saw the ocean for the first time.
They hail from Egypt, Madagascar, Maryland and Ghana.
My stance towards AI slop like this has been
"If you couldn't be bothered to write it, why should I bother to read it?"
for quite some time now & I'm still waiting for someone to show me the error of my ways.
Catch up on Eurovision with reports from YJI's Florian Gashi, pictured here with winner JJ of Austria.

Thank you Ursula von der Leyen for recognising the work of Journalists! I am very privileged to live in a country where we as young people are safe to share our thoughts freely. Through some work I do with @yjinow.bsky.social I have seen first hand the problems in certain countries with freedom.

It's amazing.

Great article from a young aspiring journalist on the @yjinow.bsky.social site about last weekend's #F1 #AusGP in Melbourne

One of @yjinow.bsky.social's students, Ukrainian Vladlen Zaitsev, wrote a piece about having the opportunity recently to meet with @kajakallas.bsky.social, vice president of the European Commission.
Love that.
At Youth Journalism International, we know we need to hear what young people have to say.

Shoutout to the Los Angeles Times reporters who are doing essential journalism under very difficult circumstances.
Theyโve dropped their paywall, but their ongoing coverage is a good reminder of why local newsrooms need support โ and what we lose when those outlets are hollowed out.

A wonderful teen from Karachi weighed in with her perspective on @yjinow.bsky.social's global conference in Mexico City last summer.
If you read it, you will understand why YJI is such an amazing nonprofit, transforming lives as it trains the next generation of journalists worldwide.
I liked a piece today by a YJI student in Morocco who wrote about what it was like to attend his first symphonic concert.
