it really is a sad thing the most collective appreciation we see for fandom writers is when ao3 goes down. it feels like a lot of people see ao3 as this magical place where thousands upon thousands of stories simply show up fully formed, with no thought of the people who write them

Medalist is so cute because everyone fangirls someone else: kids fangirl each other, kids fangirl older kids, kids fangirl their coaches, and coaches fangirl their fellow retired skaters. And that's fricking wholesome and an authentic depiction of figure skating.
