Removing the FPTP scam and bringing in a maximal-consent STV/AV system is a matter of national security.

FPTP is a scam. There never was a "post" to be first past. STV (AV for one seat) at least guarantees the maximal consent for whoever is to represent the constituency. Labour should bring this in urgently.

If I were Labour, I'd be using the cushion provided by having 400+ MPs to race to implement PR in time for the 2029 GE.

It could literally be the party's last ever chance to participate meaningfully in UK politics if they don't shake the electoral system up.

Just more evidence that the UKs “first past the post” voting system does not reflect the diversity of our politics. Time for a change
