Detectives Eddie Redcliffe (Madeleine Sami, left) and Dulcie Collins (Kate Box) are in Australia’s sweltering Top End, aka the Northern Territory, investigating the death of Eddie’s former policing partner, Bushy, in Season 2 of Deadloch. But when the body of a local icon is discovered in a remote town, they are flung into a sweatier, stickier, croc-ier crime case. (Most of this is from the Amazon Prime press release on S2)
🚨Deadloch heads: S2 of the Aussie crime satire/drama (it's good!) arrives on Amazon Prime March 20. Many chaotic Aussie weirdos return/debut. But HEADS UP they have added a Hemsworth (Luke)! This is not a drill! Kudos to the hair & costume team for this whole deal. www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/st...

The quoted opinion is wildly wrong BUT it is true that the cinematic grammar/storytelling/tech of older films is so different from today's that current audiences have to work to get into them - much like older work in pretty much every other creative medium
