To my knowledge, yeah. Like at least in sports (or other traditional casino games) there's skill involved through research, styles of play, etc. The prediction markets just feel like they are SO ripe for fixing if someone's smart enough and willing.

It's just weird and something I don't really want to get into ever. Some fun stuff like betting on Oscars winners or elections is fine, whatever. But everything else is just so, so weird IMO.

They've also been dipping their toes in sports, like a loophole in states where sports betting isn't legal

Also, as someone who loves gambling (as you know I do) I can't even fathom betting on real world "prediction markets" where the likelihood of things being fixed becomes sooooooooo much easier. It's ridiculous.

Also Trump Jr. is with Kalshi, so funny pairing with CNN!

In my very limited knowledge of prediction markets any user can create any "bet", set a price/probability and other users accept "contracts" on it and things like that and then the price will evolve based on the sides taken. I wouldn't be shocked if there's even more ridiculous stuff on these apps

As someone who no longer has the ability to sleep in because my body hates me and would prefer I deal with some sort of weird form of insomnia because maybe I like the pain and suffering and who knows but whatever, I do enjoy the early overseas kickoffs
