He solemnly brandishes a gun in front of other executives and says "gentlemen, it's been an honour." A voice rings out "WAIT! Our junior ad exec came up with an idea." The junior ad exec, holds up a placard displaying one of the trolls from popular webcomic Homestuck.

tbh I really appreciated I'm Glad My Mom Died despite having never watched iCarly so would def recommend that one if you haven't read it already. I also liked My own Country by Abraham Verghese which is about an Indian doctor working in rural Appalachia during the AIDS crisis.

There's no doubt Didion is a fantastic writer but this is such a hateful, nasty, mean spirited little book that I needed to shout into the void about it. Credit where credit is due it certainly leaves an impression.
