I wish there were more people like that in the world. We had someone in our neighborhood threatening to call the city on someone cause they had 4 cats in the window (3 max is law.) snitches.

I made my friend gluten free cornbread; he liked it. He hasn’t been eating many carbs lately. Him and his wife got into bodybuilding and have a home gym. I sent them a keto gf cornbread recipe. Lol they can make it themselves…almond flour’s expensive, man.

But I like HP sauce. And Marmite. The 57 sauce is pretty good….lol

I switched over to e books and the allrecipes site when my cookbook library got too large. I own 100 books or so, on cooking. Looks like a good book, though.

I have a friend who is celiac but his wife dosen’t bake; they just stick to a gluten free bakery near their house. I’ve tried gluten free cupcakes there and they were decent.

More. Yes, I’m a hit at bake sales. As long as they don’t request gluten free, lol…

I collect fallen cat whiskers in the house, and put them on the window ledge. Is this weird?

I just used the “basic muffins recipe” on the Allrecipes site and then added in 2 shredded carrots, half a cup of raisins and used a granular stevia sugar substitute instead of regular sugar. I like how easy the recipe is. It makes 12.

Sugar free carrot muffins (except the raisins have natural sugar) for kid’s lunches and husband’s coffee breaks.

yeah. I wish I could afford independent book store prices and read series in order sometimes. In thrift stores it’s just random luck. But if you read this one first, it’s supposed to still make sense. At least I hope so, lol. I might get a kindle for my birthday or some e books; they can be cheaper.

Thankyou for the positive vibes. No if I had the money I’d go somewhere like South Korea or Japan, etc for medical tourism. Even if they have top notch health system it’s not really advised, though. In Quebec they sometimes take patients from other provinces, I might do that if I ever get funding.

Found this in the thrift store to read. It retails for $40 CDN but I got it for $10. It came out in 2023. I haven’t read it yet so please…don’t. Lol. I’ll let everyone know what I think after, but without spoiling anything lol. And yes, I know this character is in 6 other books before this one…

I’m Canadian.some surgeries are hard to access. Theres waiting lists and we have one of the slowest healthcare systems in the world. They wait til you‘re about to be tube fed before approving surgery it seems like. I could have it abroad but pay out of pocket. Or wait years. For a covered procedure.

it’s completely curable but they won’t do anything. it’s mild to moderate. I have to purée and cook food. No raw stuff. I miss salad and apples. I can eat apple if I make a smoothie. But I go to hospital if I eat salad, lol. My friend with Crohn’s has things way worse. So it could be worse.

I can’t be all sunshine and rainbows all the time; that’s a New Years resolution I didn’t make, for sure. Plus we all know it’s more fun to be dark and warped.🤣

We got a pumpkin for free vs they want $8 for a jumbo can of pumpkin purée from the store. So I made a pie. It was good. I put some cardamom spice in it, as well as the regular spice.

The pumpkin pie is great. Lots of work to cook down a whole pumpkin, but worth it. Yummy. Hope that was the post you were mentioning not the mustard custard lol.
