Unpopular opinion 🫣

Attacking a Muslim country during the holy month of Ramadan is essentially the equivalent of striking a Christian country during Christmas.

Imagine the reactions if the roles were exchanged.

Department publishes 2024-25 Progress Report on the Northern Ireland Rare Diseases Action Plan Health Minister Mike Nesbitt has welcomed publication of the third progress report on the Northern Ireland Rare Diseases Action Plan.

The Department of Health had published their third progress report in December which explores the need for faster diagnosis, increasing awareness of rare diseases amongst medical staff, better care coordination and improving access to specialist care and medication.

Many Rare Diseases in NI lack specialist care and many people receive a late diagnosis due to the lack of knowledge at different levels of care.

A lot of us interact with multiple consultants, communication between different departments can be a massive issue.

Today is Rare Diseases Day.

Approximately 110,000 people in Northern Ireland are living with a rare disease, which is about 1 in 17.

In that group of 110,000 people, there are about 4,000 people in NI living with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome; a condition that personally affects me.

Well, into the repotting trenches I go; update in half an hour to an hour.

Oh aye a wee begonia will do the indoor rainforest and my sanity well.

Absolutely in love with how flashy she is! Hopefully I'll be blessed with flowers this summer.

If you want to see an absolute monster, take a wee trip up to the botanic glasshouse; they have one that actually produces fruit!

They are practically unkillable, unless you overwater or get cursed with thrips; but they're mad easy to save via propagation.

You know, I love my two larger house plants but the monstera people told me (about a year ago) would grow slow but it didn't get the memo.

If you give it everything it wants, it will pop off; just expect to sacrifice a portion of your living space because they grow to 60ft+ outdoors.
