Some people want to enjoy pure, simple outrage. They are sincerely pissed if you add any context or additional information to what they are outraged about.

Having been married for 39 years, I don't know how you would possibly measure 'equality' in a relationship, or what the point would be.
We both want the same life (mostly) and we both do what we can to create that life. Debating who contributes 'more' is a recipe for unhappiness.

Yes. This is why democracies succeed over the long term. Not because we don't elect incompetents or make big mistakes. But, we have non-violent methods to self correct.

American conservatives used to think they needed a creative class.
Trump has proven that bald faced bigotry and greed is all the conservative base wants.
It turns out conservative intellectuals were always superfluous.

Trump has made it painfully clear that bigotry is the bedrock on which American conservatism is built.
If you are a member of a minority group and you want to empower these people, you are playing with fire.

As a first line manager, I remember the day I realized that the person doing my old job was now more expert at it than I was. That is the way it should be, but it is still unsettling.
And I've had the reverse, where a supervisor believed they should know more about my job than I do.

It is bizarre that two of the leading white supremicists in the country are a Jew and a Cuban.
They seem oblivious to the fact that most MAGAts would not consider them white.

The main point it brought home to me is that, as contradictory as it may seem, a woman can be just as misogynistic as a man.

Almost everybody assumes that high turnout is good for Dems and low turnout is good for the GOP.
I think that view is based on the idea that the common people vote in their own self interest. We should know that isn't true. The GOP couldn't exist if it was.

Most of these people have not been charged with a crime.
They are being released when they arrive.
There is no reason to keep them chained after the plane takes off.

They may not care about the detainees, but they have to hire people to work at these places.

They are the people who are just aware enough to know there is an election, but not much more.
Anybody who has done any door knocking knows that.

I am surprised by how many people are, before ANYTHING else, loyal to Trump.
This makes sense if you want to get ahead in the Trump world, but Trump will be gone soon, due to biology if nothing else.
I suppose they figure the next guy will be looking for toadies too?
