This guy is as dumb as a rock.
Which given the possible options, is probably the best we can hope for in a Trump cabinet pick.

This does have some parallels with the crusades.
Which I'm sure most MAGAts think were a great success.

This may be what finally tips the US economy into a full blown recession.
And we would fully deserve it.

Trump has always had a trial-and-error approach to propaganda.
It has worked surprisingly well for him.

I'm not so sure.
Some people want to enjoy pure, simple outrage. They are sincerely pissed if you add any context or additional information to what they are outraged about.

Having been married for 39 years, I don't know how you would possibly measure 'equality' in a relationship, or what the point would be.
We both want the same life (mostly) and we both do what we can to create that life. Debating who contributes 'more' is a recipe for unhappiness.

The Texas primary so far. Early voting ends tomorrow. Election day is Tuesday. This is ... encouraging.

Trump has always wanted to be one of the cool kids in his hometown.
He's willing to abandon everything he supposedly stands for to get a little whiff of what Zohran has.

All these people are going to sue, and probably win.
But, they don't care, because it's not their money.

I used to think ignorance was simply an absence of knowledge.
No, it turns out some people put a huge amount of time and effort into fighting reality.

In my experience, most people are apposed to ANY new housing in THEIR neighborhood.
They may claim to appose a specific project because it is luxury or whatever, but try putting in low income housing and they will really lose their minds.

The same goes for the homeland.
Although fascists love Trump, he is not a fascist. He is just a brigand.

Hell hath no fury like a conservative scorned.
There are only a few rogue right wingers, but their number is growing and they are out for blood.

Hasset is actually a smart, well educated guy.
But he has made a career out of consistently saying stupid and ignorant stuff.
That is impressive, in a way.

Yes. This is why democracies succeed over the long term. Not because we don't elect incompetents or make big mistakes. But, we have non-violent methods to self correct.

American conservatives used to think they needed a creative class.
Trump has proven that bald faced bigotry and greed is all the conservative base wants.
It turns out conservative intellectuals were always superfluous.

Trump has made it painfully clear that bigotry is the bedrock on which American conservatism is built.
If you are a member of a minority group and you want to empower these people, you are playing with fire.

As a first line manager, I remember the day I realized that the person doing my old job was now more expert at it than I was. That is the way it should be, but it is still unsettling.
And I've had the reverse, where a supervisor believed they should know more about my job than I do.

It is bizarre that two of the leading white supremicists in the country are a Jew and a Cuban.
They seem oblivious to the fact that most MAGAts would not consider them white.

Ghislaine Maxwell: Filthy Rich (2022) ⭐ 6.1 | Documentary, Crime 1h 41m | TV-MA

Watched 'Ghislaine Maxwell: Filthy Rich' on Netflix.
The main point it brought home to me is that, as contradictory as it may seem, a woman can be just as misogynistic as a man.
Makes me wonder about other MAGA women.

Almost everybody assumes that high turnout is good for Dems and low turnout is good for the GOP.
I think that view is based on the idea that the common people vote in their own self interest. We should know that isn't true. The GOP couldn't exist if it was.

Most of these people have not been charged with a crime.
They are being released when they arrive.
There is no reason to keep them chained after the plane takes off.

I suspect this will go about as well as Alligator Alcatraz.
They may not care about the detainees, but they have to hire people to work at these places.
Insufficient plumbing, HVAC etc. is almost as bad for the staff as the residents.

They truly are medieval. And it doesn't seem to bother them that things were objectively horrible during the middle ages.
I think they identify with the noble class, who had nearly unlimited power, until they died young of the plague or getting murdered by their relatives.

I bet a sizable portion of the population assumed that warrants were required already.

AOC: "Extreme level of wealth inequality leads to social instability and drives authoritarianism, right-wing populism, and really dangerous domestic internal politics. That is a direct outcome of the failure of democracies over decades to deliver."

I hope he keeps on with this lunacy.
It is the clearest illustration of Trump being just plain nuts.

Who characterized swing voters that way?
They are the people who are just aware enough to know there is an election, but not much more.
Anybody who has done any door knocking knows that.

I am surprised by how many people are, before ANYTHING else, loyal to Trump.
This makes sense if you want to get ahead in the Trump world, but Trump will be gone soon, due to biology if nothing else.
I suppose they figure the next guy will be looking for toadies too?
