I've been sampling reservoirs & their in/out-flowing waterbodies for the role of connectivity in facilitating range expansion in man-made lotic waterbodies 🏞️

We show:
🐚Greater ingestion of anthropogenic than ‘natural’ fibres
🐚Presence and age of biofilm significantly affected fibre ingestion
🐚More fibres were retained in the short- than long-term
